Sofia Rubin, M.S.

Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

Masters of Mental Health Counseling -

University of North Florida
Sofia graduated from the University of North Florida with a Master's of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She believes in the powerful effects of therapy and is dedicated to her role in each of her client's healing process. Sofia believes therapy can lead us to our most authentic self as we create a space to understand and feel the different parts of who we are and where we come from. Prior to obtaining her Master's degree, Sofia worked with children and young adults on the Autism Spectrum. There was where she began her journey helping people and wanted to broaden her expertise to serve people with varied needs which lead her to pursue a Master's degree. During her graduate program, she worked as a counseling intern serving women and adolescent girls who have survived trauma. Sofia utilizes different techniques depending on the client's individual needs. She is drawn to narrative, process-experiential, and creative art therapies. She believes in a safe, therapeutic relationship in which clients will feel empowered to make lasting change.

You will find Sofia seeing her clients in at our office in Fernandina Beach during the week.
