Mrs. Davis is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist who is originally from Buffalo, New York (Go Bills!). Mrs. Davis has lived in a few different states on the east coast but moved to Fernandina Beach in 2018 to be closer to her family. Mrs. Davis has worked many years as a school psychologist for the public schools in Connecticut and Florida. Most recently, she served as the co-lead school psychologist for the Nassau County School District. While working the public schools, Mrs. Davis was able to provide school psychological services for students ages 3-22. She has experience in conducting psycho-educational evaluations for students in all areas of disabilities including developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and emotional and behavioral disorders among children. Mrs. Davis has experience conducting evaluations for students who are suspected of giftedness. While in the school setting, Mrs. Davis served as a lead on the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) team to ensure struggling students were identified early and targeted interventions were put in place. She has an in-depth knowledge of the MTSS framework and understands the need to focus on the “whole child” which includes supporting not only academic growth, but also social emotional behavioral health. Mrs. Davis also has experience providing school-based individual and group social emotional behavioral health interventions along with providing immediate crisis support to both students and staff. Mrs. Davis’ primary goal in her practice is to work closely with students and their families to help strengthen their support systems while fostering a positive relationship between school, family and the community.
