Amanda is a native Nassau County resident, who makes her focus on the whole well-being of the community on the Westside of Nassau County who often do not have accessibility to mental health treatment.  

Amanda is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida and is a certified DBT therapist.  She received her Associates degree in elementary education from Florida State College of Jacksonville. She graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling in 2013, both from Nova Southeastern University.  Prior to her joining FPA, Amanda worked with Children’s Home Society for 2 years as an outpatient therapist for children and families within the foster care system.  She then moved positions within CHS and served for a year as the private adoptions counselor for birth mothers and adopting families.   

Amanda works primarily with teens and adults in both group and individual therapy.  She utilizes manualized evidence-based treatment, with interventions from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. 

You will find Amanda seeing clients at our office in Callahan during the week for individual therapy and the Fernandina office one day a week for DBT group.
