Dr. Arlenis Silva is currently a psychology postdoctoral resident
at FPA. She completed her PsyD in Clinical Psychology at Albizu
University. Dr. Silva completed her predoctoral internship within
the Primary Care and Outpatient Psychology Services at Citrus
Health Network. She worked closely to serve the community and
pursue her passion for advocating for minority and underserved
populations, particularly children and adolescents. Dr. Silva conducted psychoeducational evaluations and collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to provide mental health services for the community. She provided psychotherapy and consultation services in English and Spanish to children, adolescents, and adults diagnosed with Depression, Anxiety disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and medical diagnosis.
Most her clinical experience has been providing individual and group psychotherapy interventions and conducting assessments to pediatric and adult populations in inpatient settings, outpatient settings, and community mental health centers in South Florida. Her primary areas of focus in treatment are assisting children and adolescents in identifying their personal strengths and growth areas, thus allowing them to be aware of their possibilities. Dr. Silva seeks to empower individuals in their stage of life to reduce the stigma toward mental health services. Dr. Silva implements a cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, and client-centered approach in treatment to address behavior and mental health concerns.
