During her career Connie has served as a private school counselor, a therapist and clinical manager at Jewish Family and Community Services in Jacksonville, a medical social worker at the VA, and owner of a private counseling practice. From anger management and assertiveness training to marriage counseling and high conflict divorce intervention, she has helped individuals and families through many difficult circumstances.

In addition to her Master’s Degree, Connie has advanced training in Parent Coordination, Social Investigations, Parenting Plans, Mediation, Gottman Marriage Counseling, Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, Narrative and Cognitive-Behavioral techniques. While in private practice, she specialized in grief work and Employee Assistance Plan style short term counseling.

Preferring a collaborative or team approach to counseling relationships, Connie considers clients as the experts in their own lives and the counselor as a guide. She also recognizes the transformational power of small groups with similar goals. Currently, she co-leads the Dialetical Behavioral Therapy Skills group and “Better Behavior,” a 10-week course for parents facing defiance from their children.

You will find Connie seeing her clients at our office in Fernandina Beach during the week.
