Ashley M. Jacoby, MS

Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling, NOVA Southern University

Ashley was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois which is where she began her educational journey within psychology. Ashley attended Roosevelt University as an athlete playing softball, but decided she wanted to broaden her life experiences since she had been an athlete her entire life. Ashley made the decision to transfer to the University of North Florida where she obtained her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Sociology. During her time at UNF, she became a member of the Alpha Chi Omega organization and actively engaged in raising awareness of domestic violence and advocating for victims. Ashley also studied abroad in Jamaica where she worked with special education teachers on integrating Applied Behavior Analysis techniques within the classroom. After studying abroad, Ashley became a Registered Behavioral Technician and worked with a variety of children diagnosed with Autism and other behavioral challenges. Following undergrad, Ashley attended and received her Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling from NOVA Southeastern University. While attending graduate school, Ashley interned with Quality Life Center where she ran psychosocial rehabilitation groups for individuals diagnosed with Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health conditions. Most recently, Ashley became a therapy dog handler and you can now find her and Chloe assisting clients at our Fernandina Beach office, during the week.

When Ashley is not working with clients, you can find her and Chloe playing fetch on the beach, doing yoga (and puppy yoga), cleaning and organizing, completing crafty projects, redecorating, singing and dancing, or staying busy with friends and family.
